Lobster with a twist of curry



At our house, most of the time we have lobster we keep is really simple.....Boil, Crack, Eat.  We eat it plain to enjoy the full flavor of the lobster meat.  I wanted to do something different.  So I decided to boil the lobster and have a little bit of sauce to go with it.  If you are accustomed to dipping your lobster in butter, then you will need to increase the amount of butter.

Boiling Lobster
1)  Add enough water in a large pot so that the water will the lobster when fully boiled.
2)  Add some salt to the water.
3)  When the water is boiling, put the lobster in claws first.
4)  For a 3 pound lobster, cook for about 15 minutes.  If your lobster is a different size, cook for about 5 minutes per pound.

Lemon Curry Sauce
1 lobster about 3 pounds, shell removed
1 tablespoon oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 shallot, chopped
1 tablespoon curry powder
2 tablespoon butter
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
1) In a pan, add oil and started sauteing garlic and shallot.  Add butter.
2) Add curry powder and saute for 1 minute.
3) Let it cool and add in lemon juice.
4) It is ready to use!!
