Chocolate Cake in a Cup



Who can resist being to able to whip up a great chocolate dessert in a matter minutes? Certainly not me!

I have to admit that I once tried a similar recipe to the one on eCurry, but the result was a very tough, rubbery cake.  It was obviously overcooked.  With the great photos of this one, I opted to give this one a try rather than tweak my previous failed attempt.

The chocolate cake turned out great.  If was cooked perhaps 10 seconds less, it would be much better.

Chocolate Cake in a Cup

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons caster sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 egg
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons milk or orange juice

Dusting sugar, ice cream, or some sauce / syrup to serve (optional)

Directions:
1)  Combine and whisk all ingredients together in a bowl. Pour content in a regular-size coffee mug.
2)  Cook for about 2.5 minutes on full power in microwave. (Cooking time may vary a little with the power of microwave)
