Normally we have French Toast with either maple syrup or a fruit sauce. I decided to try something a little different. When I initially made this, I made the sauce first. Unfortunately by the time I was ready to eat the French Toast, the sauce started to harden. So keep the French Toast warm and be sure to make the sauce after. If you can manage, you can try doing both at the same time.

Ingredients:
6 slices bread
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Banana Maple Sauce
1 tablespoon butter
3 bananas, thinly sliced
1/2 cup maple syrup
Directions:
1) Beat eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a bowl (wide enough to dip bread)
2) Dip bread into bowl. Turn over to coat the other side.
3) In a frying pan over medium heat, add enough butter to thinly coat the pan. Cook 1-2 minutes on each side until nice and golden brown.
4) In another or same fry pan over medium heat, add the butter. Once the butter is melted, add bananas and cook for about 3 minutes, until lightly browned. Add the maple syrup, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
