Fruit smoothies are so easy to make and they turn out fantastic every time! The secret to a fantastic smoothie is using yogurt, preferably a high-quality vanilla. In the past, I added vanilla ice-cream rather than yogurt but it would not always taste good.
Now if there is yogurt in the refrigerator, it could be gone soon! I am not picky about what fruits go into my smoothie. Instead I use whatever fruits we have available. Needless to say, each smoothie is an adventure to the taste buds! The only judgement required is how much juice I add. If the fruits going into my smoothie have a high liquid content, I will reduce the amount of juice. Typically I add just enough for the blender to create a smooth thick drink. Add enough juice to suit your taste.
Today, I tried a new combination of fruits ... cantaloupe and pineapple!
