Cinnamon Toast


Growing up as a child in Trinidad, we never had fresh milk.  Instead we always had condensed milk which suited my sweet tooth just fine.  I used to love eating a slice of bread with condensed milk slobbered over it.  Mmm!  Now, we don't use condensed milk as fresh milk is ready available.  Also I am not sure I can handle that much sweetness!  Cinnamon Toast now fills this gap for me!

I realized that Cinnamon Toast is so simple and easy to do that it is probably not worth the effort to write up, but for me I wanted this to serve as a reminder to make this more often either for breakfast for as a snack.  So often, the obvious is overlooked!


Cinnamon Toast

Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sugar
2 slices of bread
butter, soft

Directions:
1)  Mix cinnamon and sugar together.  Feel free to adjust the ratio to suit your tas
2)  Toast the bread in a toaster oven.
3)  Butter each slice of bread, and generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the butter bread.
4)  Place the slices back into the toaster oven for about 1 minute to allow the butter and sugar to melt.
