Mushroom and Caramelized Onion Omelette

I recently read another food blog covering an omelette they created.  Hmm....I have not had one of these in a long time.  It just so happens that I noticed a few lonely button mushrooms in the fridge begging to be eaten.  I quickly whipped up a mushroom and caramelized onions omelette for my breakfast meal.

Ingredients:
5 button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1/4 onion, chopped
2 tablespoon butter
1 or 2 eggs
splash of milk (optional)

Directions:
1) In a small bowl, beat eggs.  You can add a splash of milk.  This will give you a lighter egg wrapper.
2) In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.  Add in the onions and saute for a couple of minutes.  Add in the  mushrooms and saute for another couple of minutes.  Set aside.
3) Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet. Add in the beaten eggs. As it starts to cook, spread the mushrooms and onions to one half the egg.
4) Flip over the side of egg without the mushrooms and onions.
5) Slide the omelette from the skillet to a plate.
