Fresh Fruit Tart

Just seeing the words Fresh Fruit Tart made my want to try this especially when I see how short the instructions were.  The picture on the Dairy Goodness website looked very inviting.  I decided to give this recipe a try.

Unfortunately I baked it a bit too long as it was darker and not as light as it probably should have been.  I was disappointed.  However my guests liked it anyways!

Fresh Fruit Tart

Ingredients:
1 ready-made 9" (23 cm) pie crust, baked
3 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup (80 ml) granulated sugar
pinch salt
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup (375 ml) milk
fresh kiwis, strawberries, oranges — and/or any other fruit — thinly sliced

Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
2) In a medium bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
3) Heat milk in microwave at high for 1 1/2 minutes. Whisk hot milk into egg mixture. Pour into crust.
4) Bake for 40 minutes.  Remove from oven and cool.
5) Arrange sliced fruits in overlapping circular pattern. Chill thoroughly and enjoy.
