Grilled Pork Loin

Sliced Pork Loin

I rarely use dry rubs for my meats, but I wanted to try something different.  This rub I found on allrecipes.com looked interesting.  As I don't like my pork dry, I tend to cook it to an internal temperature much less than you see in most recipes.  The seasoning was good, but I was also happy that I made a sauce (special request from the girls) to help make it a delicious dinner.

1 teaspoon olive oil

2 teaspoons granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

1. Brush oil over all sides of pork loin. Set aside.
2. Meanwhile, stir together dry rub seasoning. Rub over pork to cover.
3. Place pork loin directly on medium-hot (about 400F) gas grill. Cook for 10 minutes on each side to brown.
4. Move pork to area on grill over indirect medium heat. Cook, covered for about 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 140F. Leave the rest of the grill on medium heat.
